We are looking for a caring and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is a clinically competent, licensed speech-language pathologist who delivers individualized care to patients in accordance with their treatment plan. The role involves data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation while interacting effectively with patients, caregivers, and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, assess patient needs, and recommend necessary equipment or therapy plans.
Develop and implement therapy programs using specialized techniques and/or equipment.
Identify speech or communication deficits, establish goals, and collaborate on patient care plans.
Recommend and train patients and caregivers on communication devices/aids as needed.
Document clinical notes and progress reports in accordance with standards and regulations.
Provide patient and caregiver education on therapy plans and strategies.
Refer patients for additional services when necessary.
Maintain clinical competency and adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Relevant Tertiary Education equivalent to 4+ years in the field of study.
At least two years of professional experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
